Marcus Rashford outdoing Cristiano Ronaldo as Manchester United wunderkid scores again v Villa [Stats]

Marcus Rashford is the real deal ladies and gentlemen.

The Manchester United striker – who is still in school, lest we forget – scored once again today, giving United the lead against Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

This strike comes hot on the heels of his wonder goal against West Ham in midweek, and his stats are now simply boggling.

Both in terms of goals scored and chance conversion, the United academy product is blowing the best out of the water.

As some of the stats below show, he’s outdoing the likes of Leo Messi in terms of chance conversion, while he also compares very favourably to Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who broke into the first team at the same age (18).

While the raw Ronaldo managed just 6 goals in his first 40 games for United, Rashford already has 7. In 12 games.

Granted, Ronaldo was a winger while Rashford is a central striker, but these stats bode very well for his future…
